FROM THE TRIBES TO YOUR TABLE
TO YOUR TABLE
Tribe to Table is more than a brand and more than a market – we are a community. Through partnerships with federally recognized nations, Mayan communities in the Yucatan Peninsula and Guatemala, and individual Native artists and farmers – we strive to engender indigenous enterprise large and small by bringing food and goods from tribes throughout the Americas.
It all started with seafood. Fishing is a way of life and a deep rooted part of the culture for many Pacific Northwest tribes. Fishermen there feed their families and make a living the way they have for generations. Through the seafood trade, as well as being native himself, Tribe to Table’s founder became well acquainted with the superior quality of the wild foods he was coming in contact with as well as the level of environmental stewardship that was involved when working with food from tribes.
Then it grew… wIld berry jams, wild rice harvested by canoe, dog and cat foods, heirloom beans, fair trade coffees, teas, chocolates, honeys, jewelry, and more. Today we work with over 60 tribes and are honored to be able to do so. Bringing the tribes to your table means bringing together cultures, traditions, art, and nature in a way that supports sustainability, health, consciousness, and awareness.
